Why Employers Use Jobsite Ready

New workers are the most likely to get hurt on the job. Get them trained before their first day on site, without pulling your crew off the job.

  • Trained Before Day One

Short online modules your new hires finish on a phone or laptop. No classroom days, and no pulling a lead hand off the job to teach the basic safety awareness.

  • Proof for Your Records

Each worker earns a completion certificate and finishes with a site orientation checklist signed with their supervisor. Documentation you can show an inspector, a general contractor or a prequalification platform.

  • Built Trade by Trade

Each course is written for one trade's real hazards, in plain language workers understand. Not the generic, one-size-fits-all worker awareness course.

For Builders Associations and Industry Groups

Offer your members a ready-made safety onboarding program.

Jobsite Ready courses can be offered to your member companies as a member benefit, with group pricing and a simple way for members to enrol their new hires. Every course is province-specific and trade-specific, and gives members documentation they can use for training records and prequalification. Let's talk about a partnership that fits your association.

Every Jobsite Ready Course Includes

The same standard across every trade, so you know what your workers are getting.

  • Content is built on the province-specific health and safety laws in construction

  • Trade-specific hazards, real job scenarios and on-the-job decisions, not generic slides

  • Short narrated video lessons with captions, done on a phone, tablet or laptop

  • Quizzes and a final assessment to confirm each worker understands the material

  • A completion certificate for every worker who passes

  • A site orientation checklist the worker completes with their supervisor

  • Clear scope: workers learn when hands-on certification, like Working at Heights or first aid, is still required

Jamie Gibbings is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional with about 35 years of health and safety experience across construction, oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, healthcare and education. Through 519 Safety he delivers CPO-approved Working at Heights training in southwestern Ontario and helps small contractors meet prequalification requirements on ISNetworld, Avetta and ComplyWorks. Jobsite Ready courses are built from what he sees on real jobsites: new workers who know the rule but haven't been shown how to apply it when the job gets steep, messy or rushed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for employers, supervisors and associations.

  • Who are Jobsite Ready courses for?

New and entry-level workers in construction, and the employers who hire them. Each course is built for a specific trade. Residential roofing is available now, with a general new construction worker program and more trades in development.

  • Do these courses cover Ontario's mandatory worker awareness training?

Our courses are built around the topics that the provincial construction health and safety laws requires workers to learn, and they give you completion records to keep on file. As the employer, you're still responsible for confirming your training meets your legal obligations and for giving each worker a site-specific orientation. Every course includes a checklist to help with that.

  • Is Working at Heights or First Aid certification included?

No. Working at Heights training must come from a provider approved by the provincial requirements (e.g., Ontario's Chief Prevention Officer) and includes hands-on practice, and first aid certification must come from a approved provider (e.g., Red Cross). Our courses are awareness training. They explain when those certifications are required, so workers and supervisors know what else is needed before work starts.

  • How long does a course take?

Courses are split into short modules that workers complete at their own pace, on a phone, tablet or laptop. They can stop and pick up where they left off, so training fits around the work day.

  • How do I train my whole crew?

Request team pricing using the form below. We'll set up enrolment for your workers and help you keep track of who has completed their training.

  • Do you work with builders associations and industry groups?
